The first bridal shower that I organized was for my now sister, Jazzie. Kate Spade was the inspiration for the bridal shower theme. I found the floral embellishments, in pink and black, with a splash of gold, to be very cute.
I started really planning a week before the event but ordered some of the decors from Etsy 3 weeks ahead; I know some sellers take a long time to ship their products. The specific garland that I ordered took 2 weeks to get to me. All the rest was ordered from Amazon.

I started putting up decorations the night before so the next day all I would have to do was pick up the food and balloons.
The wooden crate and letters were purchased from Michael’s. I hand painted the letters and glued gold glitter to the ampersand. The vase, I spray painted gold.
The Mimosa bar was my favorite feature on this table. It included sparkling juices for the kids, who loved drinking in flutes. The gold sequined table runner I purchased from Etsy.
I found the lovely black and white runner from Etsy. The floral placements were actually from a rolled gift wrapper that I cut. The menu cards were made just using Pages from my Macbook and decorated with the flower clip-art, again from Etsy. Pink paper napkins were from Gilt. The “vases” were just recycled, spray painted bottles, which turned out cute! Inside the boxes were the party favors – scented candles from (of course) Etsy.
I think everyone enjoyed the bridal shower – we had fun games and delicious food. But most important was the good time spent with family. I could not have done it without the help of my wonderful in-laws!
